In its first version, the TDP distribution provides a robust core built upon the Hortonworks HDP 3.1.5 distribution. The majority of components have been ported along their respective versions. The strategy provides a facilitated migration path for users who wish to pursue the operation and the support of their big data platform.

Alliage supports the packaging of additionnal components as well as the develivy of alternative versions of those components.
Users of CDP and HDP (including 2.6.x) gain the opportunity to ease their lift and shift migration with the deployment a TDP platform aligned with the same versions as the ones present inside their legacy platform.
